My source at the MNR tells me that the outdoor card renewals were mailed last week.  The last 2 digits of the card indicate the year the card expires.  Many of you have 11 there and will need to get a new card.  You should be receiving your renewal in the mail shortly so you can automatically renew your card by mail or online.  If you choose not to, we will be able to issue a new temporary card under the automated system.  We are hoping that the automated licensing will be faster but keep in mind that there is only one machine so unlike the old paper system, where we could have two persons issuing  licenses, now there will only ever be one person issuing, so processing a lot of temp cards will lengthen the line so to speak.  With that in mind, we encourage you to renew by mail.  Here is the contact number for the MNR Outdoors Card Centre  1-800-387-7011.  Give them a call if you don’t receive your renewal; have your outdoors card on hand.
